In June, 2015 Caitlin decided to open Meridian Wellness to provide more than just massage for her clients and community. Returning to Southern Oregon, she became a therapist for one of the valley’s chiropractors and began part-time private practice, eventually deciding to switch full-time to massage studio work specializing in traditional deep tissue, myofascial release, Swedish, cupping therapy, and CranioSacral therapy. The result was her decision to pursue a career in massage therapy and to align this with her perspectives on mind-body integration.Īfter graduating at the Ashland Institute, Caitlin honed her skills at the Steiner Leisure spa academy in London, going on to work, via Steiner, as a therapist for the Royal Caribbean cruise line. The pain and suffering she witnessed there inspired her to explore whether there might be an approach beyond traditional medication and targeted treatment that addressed the body and mind as a unified system.
